ASAM e.V. (Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems) actively promotes standardization within the Automotive Industry. Together with its more than 400 member companies worldwide, the association develops standards that define protocols, interfaces and data models for tools used for the development and testing of electronic control units (ECUs) and for the validation of the entire vehicle. ASAM standards are applied internationally with the purpose to enable easy integration of tools into existing value chains and to enable a seamless data exchange.

In the past years, ASAM has established a very active community in the area of highly automated driving. Technical experts from ASAM member companies worldwide are working together to (further) develop the so called ASAM OpenX® standards for the validation of ADAS and AD functions: ASAM OpenDRIVE®, ASAM OpenCRG® and ASAM OpenSCENARIO® describe static road networks as well as dynamic driving scenarios for use in driving and traffic simulators. ASAM OSI® is a generic interface that allows easy interconnection of the many driving simulation frameworks. ASAM OpenLABEL® is the world's first standard for annotating multi-sensor data and scenarios. Finally, ASAM OpenODD® is the latest initiative and currently under development. The ASAM OpenODD® concept proposes to specify a language concept as well as a machine-readable format that allows users to exchange, compare, and reuse Operational Design Domain (ODD) definitions. ASAM OpenODD is a safety standard for autonomous vehicles and will allow testing of road readiness.

The collaborative approach of ASAM’s standardization process enables the high quality level and industry-wide acceptance of ASAM standards. ASAM, on the other hand, ensures their independent, long-term development and maintenance in a professional setting.

CITA is the worldwide association of authorities and authorized companies active in the field of vehicle compliance: it represents the impartial partner to enable programs and policies for safe and clean vehicles improving road safety and protecting the environment every day, everywhere, impartially, and responsibly.

CITA provides a global forum for best practice exchange. Its members find a unique place to share knowledge and participate global activities related to vehicle compliance. CITA facilitates best practice recommendations and draft international standards. It organises conferences and seminars on inspection methods, standards, and equipment creating awareness on quality control, assurance, and accreditation. DIN, the German Institute for Standardization, is the independent platform for standardization in Germany and worldwide. A public-private partnership

In 1975 DIN entered a public-private partnership with the German Federal Republic by signing the Standards Agreement in which DIN is acknowledged as the sole national standards body in Germany. According to this Agreement, DIN is obliged to

• consider the public interest in the preparation of standards,
• ensure that its standards can be referenced as documents which describe technical requirements, in legislation, in matters affecting public administration, and in legal relations, and
• contribute to international understanding in the field of standardization.

The Federal Government undertakes to

• recognize DIN as the competent standards organization for Germany and as the national standards body representing Germany in non-governmental international standards organizations, and
• apply DIN standards in its administrative departments, when issuing invitations to tender or placing orders, and to use its influence to ensure that other public authorities placing contracts do the same.

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster in North South Wales, a Australian State with Sydney as its capital city. TfNSW’s role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centers and regions. TfNSW is responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.

Marmara University is one of the oldest educational institutions in Turkey. Established on 16 January, 1883 under the name Hamidiye Ticaret Mekteb-i Âlisi, and affiliated with the Commercial, Agriculture, Forestry and Mining industry, Marmara University began its life in a house behind the Istanbul High School for Girls in Cağoğlu. The first graduates (13 people) matriculated in 1887. On 21 September, 1889 the school was affiliated with the Education Ministry; in 1893 the school was closed, with the idea that it would be reformed and reopened in the near future. On 15 October, 1897 the school, still affiliated with the Education Ministry, was reopened; from this date on the university has provided education.

TalTech is the most innovative university in Estonia. This is confirmed by the reputation survey of Estonian universities, according to which the Tallinn University of Technology is known for its new and digital technologies. The Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH is Europe’s largest R&D center for virtual vehicle technology with 300 employees. Research priority is the linking of numerical simulations and hardware testing, which leads to a powerful HW-SW whole system design and automation of testing and validation procedures. Hart Consult is the first German institute offering asphalt petrological analyses. Asphalt Petrology detects the structure of asphalt and its components in detail. For this purpose, special, preparation techniques, analytical methods and modern computerized picture analysis were tailored to the needs of asphalt. Thus, the mineralogy of minerals, their weathering condition, harmful contaminants, bitumen peeling off and the cavity structure (location and size of the cavities) are recorded in detail.

A physical test center for mobility is scheduled for construction at Stjørdal Municipality. The arena aims to be the world's first test laboratory to offer "four-season" testing opportunities on the same day. An arena using renewable energy for power road technology, suitable for electric vehicles, inductive charging, ITS and designed for testing autonomous vehicles and autonomy in collaboration with driver assisted vehicles. Commercial activity is also planned for the center, such as test driving, special driver training courses, and other area-demanding events.
