China Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (Beijing) Research Institute Co.,Ltd. (CICV) was jointly initiated by China Society of Automotive Engineers (China SAE), China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) and China Industry Innovation Alliance for the Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (CAICV). CICV was founded on March 19, 2018, registered in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area, and the registered capital is 1100 million(RMB). The 23 shareholders are leading enterprises and research institutions in the fields of OEMs, parts & components, information & communication, etc.

On May 30th, 2019, CICV was approved as the “National Innovation Center of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles” by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
