SUBMISSION
GUIDELINES

Original articles
from IAMTS members may be published; offering good information to other
practitioners and benefiting everyone!
Articles may be
submitted by internet e-mail
attachment or on 3.5" floppy PC disk and mailed to IAMTS. Only articles
written in
Microsoft word will be accepted. Please label your Submissions "for
consideration in Therapeutic Perspectives" - An IAMTS Member Digest.
There are several components to good
articles:
- First, include the
Five W's : (Who, What, When, Where and Why). The
reader wants to know what your article is about. Start your story off with a
summary of your article. Writers of web based publications need to keep in mind that
readers are looking to get in and get out as quickly as possible. They do not
like to scroll. If your article does not hook the reader in the first paragraph,
they will likely leave. The technique is called the Inverted Triangle meaning
put the most interesting information first. You will have gotten your point
across and the reader will be grateful, especially those that do not have time
to read the full story.
- Know your topic. Be relevant because readers are looking for
information that they can use and apply.
- Be accurate and verify all of
your sources and include a bibliography crediting all sources. Include a short
bio about yourself; usually one paragraph or less.
Each member that submits an article that
is approved by the Board of Directors and accepted for publication will be
credited at the beginning and the end of their article.
A free direct
e-mail link will be attached at the bottom of the article.
If you have no web site
or e-mail capability, your address and phone numbers may be listed.
