Massage Therapy

Study massage, shiatsu, reflexology, bodywork and healing touch techniques to become a massage therapist. Exciting job opportunities await you in health spas, hotels, physical therapy centers, sports organizations, on cruise ships, and in rehabilitation clinics and hospitals.

Nutritionist + Personal Training

Becoming a nutritionist and/or personal trainer requires learning about personal health, nutrition, injury prevention and managing stress and lifestyle changes of clients. Certified nutritionists work as consultants either as part of an integrated clinic or in solo practice, and certified personal trainers can work at private health clubs, rehabilitation clinics, on cruise ships, in resorts or in a solo practice.

Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture + Oriental Medicine + Herbology)

Chinese medicine includes acupuncture, herbology and dietary therapy based on traditional Oriental medicine principles. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine schools provide the holistic training and techniques to understand the full power and precision of traditional Chinese medicine practices.

Chiropractic

Employment of chiropractors is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2008 as consumer demand for alternative medicine grows. Some chiropractors specialize in sports injuries, neurology, orthopedics, nutrition, internal disorders or diagnostic imaging, and approximately 70 percent of active chiropractors are in solo practice.

Aromatherapy + Energy Healing

Energy workers generally work one-on-one with clients to balance the flow of energy in the body and combine two or more healing modalities in their practices, such as aromatherapy and acupressure.

Naturopathic Medicine + Homeopathy

Naturopathic physicians receive extensive training and use therapies that are primarily natural and nontoxic. Common treatment practices include homeopathy, clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, massage and bodywork, hydrotherapy and more.
